DRONE FORECAST / INFORMATION

Understanding weather and map data

How to interpret Drone Forecast weather, altitude wind and map information, including forecast timing, coverage and practical limits.

Forecasts and observations are different

Forecasts describe expected conditions for a place and time. They are not measurements at your aircraft. Compare the forecast with actual conditions at the location before making flight decisions.

Map coverage and freshness

The available map information can differ by location and layer. A displayed area or marker does not mean that every restriction is shown or that every layer updates in real time.

What the map can tell you

Use the map to explore geographic context and available zone information. Check current official restrictions and required permissions with the relevant authority. A map display is not a flight authorization.

Read the time and the context

Verify the selected location, time, height and units. Weather analytics and suggested windows help compare conditions; they are not a guarantee of flight suitability.
